Just wanted a bit of general advice
    Have a 132 duster..190 k
The timing bekt/chain was done 120 ish I think ...
I'd like to hold onto it as it has been very reliable for me

I wonder when does the belt have to be done again ...

The pads were changed on brakes..the rear are probably due

The rear shocks were changed so I'm sure front have to be too

Its due the bigger service too
I'm wondering is it worth spending a lot of money on it with the very big mileage

It's a diesel ( Renault) engine , never gave me any problem as I say ...
Appreciate advice..financially is it a gamble or not...last thing i want is pay a lot and then other stuff going ...due to age / wear and tear thks

To be fair 190k kms is a good health mileage but if you've been keeping the car well serviced it could easily do that mileage again, so I wouldn't be in any fear of the car.

I wouldn't go too nuts on the idea of preventative maintenance "it'll probably need front shocks/ brakes etc". If you are visiting your mechanic every 15k or so for a service just let him advise you when it's in for the service.

The factory interval on those belts is 160k kms but iirc they had a slight tendency to let go before that so a lot of dealers were recommending 120k kms intervals, so you aren't due a second belt yet.

Was there a thing of the aux belt taking the timing belt with it?
