    Hi,
    Happy new year!

Looking for some advice, in the middle of submitting document for mortgage approval and provider wanted p60’ss from 2017, will have 2018’s soon so not a critical document but nonetheless need to review.

My husband worked for two companies in 2017 whilst also having a spell of unemployment, the first employer for majority of the year (Jan - Sept) isn’t noted on the P60 or a P21 that i requested either, we never noticed.

Payslips are noted with prsi being paid by both employer and employees. Also was deducted usc and paye, not sure if any of these are the right rates, payslip attached.

Question: does this employment make a difference to our record not being recognised by the tax office and if hubby goes to ex employer to try get them to do what they need could we end up with a tax bill of any sorts?

p21 gave €40 refund from hubby based on this employment not being noted.

    Thanks in advance

Did your husband recieve a P45 from the job he left? You will only receive a P60 at the end of the year from an active employment..

If not you need to get onto Revenue and see do they have any record of 'missing' employment and if not you should get onto his previous employer and tell them they need to sort it out and make sure they have declared the 2017 wages to revenue

Regardless of the outcome tax refund-wise if it were me i'd rather have my PRSI contributions all declared as this kind of thing can come back to bite people come pension age

It looks like your husband's employment was declared by the employer seen as he got payslips. I would ring revenue/email them if you are registered on myaccount. Give your husband's PPS number and the previous employer's tax number which should be on the payslip. It could be an error by revenue they will go back and check the P35 that was filed presuming the employer filed a P35.

Obviously just because he got payslips doesn't mean it was returned to revenue you could go back to previous employer first if you wished but personally I think revenue might be more helpful.
