    Hi all,

I have quite a bit of NCT work to get done on my 2005 Prius - was going to just buy another car but it's probably cheaper to repair. Anyway, does anyone have any mechanic recommendations for North Dublin? I'm in Balbriggan. Don't have much money though but am terrible at car DIY.

    Thanks!

Has it failed the NCT? If not, put it through the test. If it fails, get the issue(s) fixed.

Pre-NCT work can be a waste of money, unless you know for sure something is going to result in a fail.

Yeah I'm putting it through the NCT this evening.

So it failed the NCT on:

    Left wiper not working

    73% front axle imbalance

    Defective bonnet catch

    Rusted rear brake lines

    ARB dust covers damaged

    Front fog light gone

Quite a list, but fixable. Anyone any mechanic recommendations for North Dublin now?

Glen in convent lane just beside the rail way station is sound and won’t rip you off. Might be about a week waiting list though.

BiMoto garage between Oberstown and Man O War. Excellent Indy mechanic.

S and D motors in the North end Swords beside the motor factors. Lads are brilliant. Expect a waiting time though.

Thanks all, going to fix everything except the brakes myself. May as well get some DIY experience.
