Folder only displaying subfolders????

Folks, I have a large folder that I store all my ebooks in, but recently when I click on it it displays all the books in it straight away. Theres 1000s.. Folks,

I have a large folder that I store all my ebooks in, but recently when I click on it it displays all the books in it straight away. Theres 1000s.. It used to display by authors first and this does still flick on for a second when I dispaly first. It must be a setting somewhere but for the life of me I cant figure it out. No other folders are affected and ive tried to compare settings but no luck. Any ideas appreciated and its doing my nut in.....
