Trouble Playing TV sound through Receiver

    So Ia hev previously outputted sound from my PS3 etc to my (all in one) receiver as that's where all the APPs are.

    There is now an app only my TV has and I am trying to work out how to have the sound form the speaker output through my receiver.

    Reciever has a basic two inputs / one output.

    So I have set a hdmi going from the TV to the Reciever input (from the ARC hdmi socket on TV). I have also set my TV to output through the infrared /hdmi option.

    Alas no joy. Still no sound. Anyone know where I might be going wrong?
