Stopped by Gardai on the quays in Dublin for failing to stop on an amber light, took my licence and said i would get points and a fine. This happened on 13th December and nothing in the post yet. When i got points before from a Garda they arrived speedily enough and i read somewhere online that they arrive within two weeks, anyone else been in this situation before?

You’ll get the FPN first, then the points once that’s been paid.

    Should you have stopped?

Where you beyound the stop line or was it dangerous to stop?

"An amber light means that you must not go beyond the stop line or, if there is no stop line, you must not go beyond the light. However, you may go on if you are so close to the line or the light when the amber light first appears that
    stopping would be dangerous."

According to the cop, i accelerated through the lights, i cant remember too much about it. I was going down the quays in Dublin at snails pace so it went amber and i kept going. He asked me what i did wrong and i said i didnt know, honestly i didnt.

I was stopped for speeding 5 weeks ago. Does anyone have an idea how long it takes to get the FPI?
