One thing I notice in the last few years is when one goes onto websites, one cannot bloody read them in peace. An annoying video of a news item (you want to read not hear and see) or advert comes on without you wanting it. Annoying it is for sure but also potentially costly. It is yet more civil rights eaten away when we are forced to watch stuff we never wanted that eats away your data. Surely, the DECENT thing would be to have a bloody link to these things and give the people a choice. Rant over!

I agree that these things are intrusive and annoying but what civil right go you think is being infringed here, and why?

The porn doesn’t pay for itself without ads.

YouTube has gone to shíte with advertisements. I’d say half the videos start with a 5-10 second ad now, they’d be longer if you didn’t hit Skip Now too.

    Adblocker doesn’t remove them, either.

uBlock Origna on Chrome does the job for me.
The real issue is the ****ing GDPR cookie law. What purpose does it serve? Everyone is so jaded by it they just click accept as fast as possible without reading anything.

AIB are the worst. My two year old is watching Peppa Pig. He doesn't want a five minute ad about Kevin Kilbane becoming a DJ or whatever.

And no easy way to block them on our Shield.

    Adblock + uBlock Origin.

Though they are getting paid to let some content through... damn sell outs.
