    Hi all,

    Happy Christmas and new year.

I was looking at getting the other half a yoga matt package from an online retailer for Christmas present. Went through the whole process but at end I decided not to go through with purchase. Never entered card details, just closed off webpage.

An hour ago I got a notification that my package was on its way with DHL!!!!

I never got an email to say I purchased it or anything. Package due to arrive on the 31st of December.

Has this happened to anyone? Must email company tomorrow, they are in UK...

    Thanks.

Seems strange OK.....have you ever bought anything online? I cant see them dispatching an item with prior payment...plus, you generally have to click "BUY".....interesting to see how you get on.

Yeah, bought loads online before. I've checked credit/visa cards and nothing has been deducted, well sort of knew that as I didn't enter card details.

Only thing I can think of is that they may have been snowed under with deliveries for Christmas and added mine by mistake.

Hi there. Just spotted this on the front page & thought I'd reply. I recall hearing something similar in the last 6 months or so & it turned out it was a scam of sorts. Can't remember details now but it was definitely along the lines of an email saying a package was shipped that hadn't been ordered. So just be wary!

Yes it's strange. I was just trying to create a link between your purchase ( or possible purchase) and your card. I always use PayPal, and even then, I have to log in to my PayPal account each time. PayPal have offered to keep me logged in all the time to simplify thinks, but I have always refused. Even if I purchase using my card I have to confirm the details first.

Was it littlewoods? Maybe they have sold it on credit?

Well Ill see what arrives. I was doing some research before buying the yoga matt and company is reputable and some good reviews.

I wonder will DHL hit me with a bill, as COD....hmmm

Did the email from DHL mention the website you "bought" from?

    Are they a big company?

COD? You are under no obligation to accept the item as far as I am aware.

Sounds like a scam. Is your internet and email secure? How long was it before the order confirmation arrived? 5 mins after putting your basket? More?

Edit- Got distracted and you answered that in OP! Sorry!

Is the email from a legit source? Check the spelling etc. For example I get emails from AppIe. The small L is a uppercase i. The same could work for DHL. DhI ..

Some companies offer a discount after a couple of days if you put stuff in the basket but never complete checkout.

I have done this with a company in the US. Add stuff to basket, enter all details except payment and leave the page.

4 days later you get an email offering you 15% off to compete the transaction. It works in some places!

    Sounds like they messed up.

Did the email you receive clearly relate to the yoga matt?

I often get emails saying I have a package on the way when I never ordered anything. They are usually in my junk folder and I delete them without opening.

Yeah, has company’s name attached to tracking number. Copy n pasted tracking number into separate web page and number is legit. Going to email company now to inform them. Package has left East Midlands airport this morning

Had you bought from this company before (your payment details saved on their site)?

Wait until something actually arrives before you go contacting anyone, lest you make yourself look stupid

Well it arrived, full yoga package....:o

Very strange. Once no funds are taken I’d just sit on it and see what happens. Alternatively you could advise them that you received an item that you hadn’t ordered and that they can arrange collection at a time convenient to you.
