My mother has a Irish pension and just recently applied for a UK pension which she just got. It's only 70 a week from the UK. Does she have to declare the UK pension and will it affect her Irish Pension .

She should tell Social Welfare about her UK Pension. If she is claiming a contributory state pension here her UK pension will not affect her weekly amount of contributory pension, although the contributory pension is a taxable payment, her UK pension might bring her into the tax bracket...If she is claiming a Non-Contributory State Pension here then she will be means tested on her UK pension and receive a reduced amount of Non-contributory pension.

So she has to go through the whole means test again or would it just tell social welware the amount and they readjust her amount.
Any idea on what 70 euro a week would reduce on her payment or any info on what brackets they have to meet before there reduced.
    Thanks for the help?

If she’s getting a Non Contributory Irish Pension then her Non Con Irish will be reduced euro for euro by the UK pension.
Send Sligo a copy of the letter she got from the UK with a note attached including her PPSN.
