Just finished watching this after a work colleague recommended it to me, bit on the grim side & doesn't exactly paint a pretty picture of Berlin but it was entertaining enough & didn't finish with everything nicely wrapped up which I always like.

I liked it, especially the first few episodes. It's good when crime shows (or films or books) that start with the discovery of a body manage to do it in an original way. German-Jimmy-McNulty running around all night scheming was a good twist.

There's a wealth of very good German series out there at the mo, and this one has some very good reviews. On the back of this I watched the first two episodes a while back. It all looks good on paper; decent enough plot and seemingly interesting characters, with a grittiness about the whole thing. The main character though, was just completely unlikeable, so I just couldn't invest in it. So I left it at 2 episodes, uncertain whether to continue or not. I don't see it has having a good main character arc, but I'll keep an eye on posts here, as there were a lot of boxes ticked for it. I'll file it under 'maybe go back to'. :p

Ive watched 2 episodes so far, the setup is good but its badly written , I don't think that would pass muster as a UK/US show.

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer
