Pity -but I imagine they're big enough to bounce back.
No doubt about it -fire is an unmerciful hoor of a thing we should be ever vigilant about.

In fairness to Langtons the only reason the kitchens are open on Christmas day is that they provide meals for the elderly on Christmas day as has been the tradition over the years. A well run family business that gives a lot back to the community. Hope they can get back to business asap

This would be considered libelous and you are responsible for your own post, so I'll let you decide if you want to leave it up or not.

yes bring a single word post to a court and see how you get on

    they have insurance right ?

How in the name of sanity could the word 'insurance' be considered 'libellous?
All it's saying is that a commercial organisation could be expected to be insured against fire and that that would help with a recovery to get back in business.

Thanks, but nobody has any interest in giving it a whirl and seeing how we get on. We all know what was implied, and nobody has any interest in allowing this nonsense run on the forum.

    See above.

End of conversation, please move on.

I was in Langtons yesterday for lunch, very limited menu, (2 different mains). They have setup a temporary kitchen in the conservatory out the back, and are recommending that folks go to Cillin Hill if they want a full menu. I've separately heard it was only the kitchen that was damaged, but badly so, the roof likely needs repair

Drove passed a few hours ago and they had a full menu advertised outside again, so looks like it's all good again
