I'm cooking the family dinner tomorrow - youngest is home from Galway, OH is due tomorrow afternoon from Longford (after tending to the stock) with my eldest Brother and my Sister is arriving mid morning to help me. The ham should be cooked within the next hour, the veg is prepped, the stuffing is made and I'm going to pour myself a glass of wine and put my feet up before phoning eldest in Aus.

Happy Christmas to all, cattle will enjoy a wee extra feed tomorrow:).....also have kids in the shower and we just have to put the glass of milk, few biscuits and carrots out for Santa and the reindeer.
Personally I turned over a new leaf with my Christmas shopping, would always have been a two hour rush job on Christmas Eve in local town.....none of that this Year.

    Did all my shopping yesterday!!;)

Happy Christmas me arts,I hope you are happy all year round. If you are reading this it means you have survived what can be decribed as the GUBU of weather events.Farming through it was no picnic, but we done it.In Jan we had a plan A(and B just in case). They got crumpled up and used to light the fire in April to dry out our soggy underware(unlike Fr Ted we hadn't time to shop for replacements).By May we were on plan F,G or H(not needing underware it was so hot)and getting on with the job.But we made our way through it all.We can rest in the knowledge that no matter what sort of a sh!tstorm hits us we will cope and be able to enjoy a few beers next Christmas aswell.....some of me might have enjoyed too many this Christmas.Good luck for now, behave or be happy.
