Yes, and it's absolutely woeful. You'd be better bookmarking touch.boards.ie

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.distilledmedia.boards.ie

How many iterations of Boards are there?

If they spent some time creating an API, then the community could make high quality apps, or even alternative urls with better front-ends.

    But they won't.

I made an API for one of my sites last weekend for a client. Mad that a man sitting on his couch can do it, but so many sites can't.

Tapatalk works with some forums, but I hate it.

Touch boards all the way, the app is awful. Would love to use it but instead it's easier to have about 5 or 6 boards tabs open on my phone browser.

Not mad at all. What happens their ad revenue when everyone starts using a third party app or website?

    m.boards.ie is all you need

Why the need for an app anyway? What benefit is there vs using the touch site?

Using the app here and mostly very happy with it. Crashes from time to time but works well 90%of time

There’s not much advantage to apps for what is in fact just text content.

A boost in user-engagement with a modern app or site could translate into more users on their regular desktop and mobile sites. And they could have it so their ads are a required part of using the API, possibly.

I'm not a fan of apps for everything. But Reddit is just so much nicer to use because there are some great third-party apps.

Personally, I don't really care about it on this site. I've been on here since 2005 so obviously, it's working. It's just something they should at least consider.

I think they’re still working on the search function on the desktop site.

That looks worse than the app.

Surprised to see people still using the app.
I had it installed on an Android phone and it stopped working about a month ago. i uninstalled it and went to Google Play to reinstall and it no longer is available.

Never liked the touch or responsive sites so now only use legacy site on laptop.

The app I use for a website is known as a browser.

Not seen that in a while, that is a mess. I just use the touch site. They should expand touch rather than invest their time in an app or API

Touch legacy is the way forward.

Didn't know boards had an app and I will never try it. I wish other websites would feck off with there insisting we use apps, I have far too many apps already and the vast majority dont make much difference. If I'm only going to use your site occasionally I don't need your p*xy app

I think it’s about app notifications “driving engagement” (I know, barf).

Quora, which I like otherwise, refuses to allow to do much on the web. It kicks you to the app fairly prompto. Then you get notifications on new posts which might be of interest. That’s their stchick.

I use https://touch.boards.ie/trending and then you can use the regular tabs from there.
