Some great deals there. How strict are wow on check in baggage size? Would a back pack/rucksack (school bag size) pass as a personal item?

I Could get to new York return for €200 return, but if I need to pay for a bag it adds 80 quid.

Depends when he's going. Wow don't give you any food, drink or entertainment. Keflavik Airport is a complete rip off too.

Virgin Atlantic have fares from Dublin and Cork to NYC for around €240 Jan to March. Use Momondo for prices. All inclusive, bag, food etc.
