This is a watch for anyone who thought this was a crap deal for some old phone.

Yes, you are right, cant edit the title unfortunately. It seems good value for an Argos refurbished with 12 months warranty, I treated myself anyway!

Ha, I actually thought it was an old Galaxy S3 from the title....

I do hope to see it posted again when it is back in stock. Also great to get any reviews from anyone who did manage to buy one of the referbs.

I had the Gear S2 and it was brilliant. The only major downside was the Tizen OS it was running. The biggest concern I had was the lack of updates from Samsung (in the 2.5 years I had it, there was 3 patches/upgrades released), which is crazy considering it is known to contain so many vulnerabilities - https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/07/12/samsungs_tizen_no_longer_worst_ever/

I just wished they would have gone with Android Wear for it, rather than Tizen. :o

What do you actually use it for? What apps have you installed? I've never bought a smartwatch, I've watched a few reviews but the reviews seemed to give little valuable info.

I mainly used mine for health tracking.

    Couple of examples,
    - You can set number of steps you would like to take in a given day and keep a track of it to ensure you hit it.
    - If you are like me and sit in front of a computer at work all day, it gives you a nudge if you haven't moved from your desk in an hour.
    - It can track workouts.. (For a run or walk it can gives you distance, pace etc.)

In the App Store you could purchase Apps or WatchFaces.. The App section was mostly useless crap, but the Watch Face section was pretty good and had quiet a lot of them. As a watch it worked very well, especially with that OLED display it had, so even with an analog watch face it looked brilliant. Also on average I got about 2 days use with a full charge.

Personally I just bought it because I love the way it looks, I had been looking for a while but couldn't justify the 2 - 300 price tag. Also these have a built in altimeter and I took up paramotoring this year and had been looking out for a compact stand alone altimeter, so that's an added bonus.

i got an s3 classic shipped to a relative in the uk a few weeks back. it looked new, although someone on hukd complained that he received the version with small bands only and he wanted the larger band. They didn't specify this information in the listing unfortunately.
