Intermittent DRL problem - NCT tomorrow

I have a 2011 Skoda Superb which has thrown up an intermittent problem with the near-side DRL.

I initially thought the bulb was blown and replaced it following which it worked fine. On the way to work this morning the dash showed a fault with the same bulb. Checked it when I got to work and sure enough the light wasn't working. Planned on getting another bulb on the way home but when I started the car after work it was showing no fault and the light was working again. Happy days says I.

However it's now showing a fault and not working again. Other than cleaning the connection and hoping it stays lighting has anyone got any suggestions if that doesn't work?

My NCT is at 4.45 tomorrow evening.

    TIA

    P.

Take the affected bulb out and examine the bulb socket for corrosion, make sure the bulb is seating correctly when installed and making good earth contact. After that, when it fails next time check your lighting circuit for continuity.
