I rang to get some Checks on my multistrada which was imported by previous owner. They werent interested once they realised they hadnt sold me the bike. Was quite rude on the phone also.
For computer issues I found mototuning and for service I found mototechnic.

I was over there enquiring about a Multistrada recently and found their attitude a little strange. Like we went in to look at Ducati's and left the shop wondering 'Did they just try push us towards a Triumph?.

That has been the first and probably the last time I grace their showrooms, very strange.

There is some genuinely sound lads working there. There is a problem in the dealership but I'm not sure exactly where.

Pity because they have a good selection of bikes.

My next bike will likely come from them or Franklin depending on how Brexit goes.

    Thanks everybody.
I thought it was just me ....the couple of times I went in about my Multi which I did not buy from them. Basically no interest or return phone calls.

Yes have heard good reports about Mototechnic. Will give them a call in the new year.

    Cheers

I've dealt with them a few times. Their customer service is shocking answering phones and ordering parts is a nightmare your better off going in.

They are sound enough though and an issue no one here has pointed out, if your Ducati is newer than 2013 then there is no other place in Ireland that has the computer to scan the bike so they are your only choice. Thankfully they are sound and will scan it for a few quid and tell you the faults

I think this is actually the death of the Indy mechanic, one of the Ducati specialist I rang said he is saving for the computer and it costs 6k

I don't see how. This has been the case with cars for decades and Indy's have scanners it's part of the business

Yeah agree up until recently, pretty sure modern cars as in 2017+ don't really work with generic scanners because the scanners the dealers now use are actually linked to the factory over the internet

Anyway what I said is the case with modern Ducati, jap bikes probably different

Mototechnic is great, I'd recommend them.

Rosso are weird, I went in looking at a hypermotard and he did his best to tell me not to buy it and buy a bike almost 4 times the price.
Everything I get done to mine is by Robbie in mototechnic, I'd highly recommend him

Aye, Robbie for servicing, Millsport for parts. Same as it's been for a long time.

Not sure if Robbie has all the gear for the newer machines though, anyone been to him lately?

He doesn't, nobody does bar Ducati Dublin does, well that was the case 2 months ago on bike newer than 2013 I think , he wasn't able to help me with my 2014 Panigale

So far as I'm aware Bikeworld can service and maintain all Ducati's now.

[No one take my head off for mentioning BW please :o ]

Speaking of Ducati, anyone any experience with the Multisrada 950?.
