Walking in front of someone taking a photo in public

If you see someone taking a photo in public. Do you walk behind cameraman/woman, stop and wait until photo is taken or casually stroll by like nobody’s business? I pass the molly Malone statute on a daily basis with tourists taking photos. I used to stop or walk a different direction to avoid being in picture. Now I don’t care. In fact I’m happy to be in the background of photos that people will be showing their family and friends across the world. Depending on my mood I may also photobomb.

I photobombed one of my brother's wedding photos. :D

With other people's photos, I tend to just put my head down a bit and keep going.

With my photos, I make people aware I'm taking pictures. Some people will pose for me, when I really just want the streetscape.

If someone is taking group pictures, I will sometimes offer to take their picture for them. I then run off with their phone.

Doesn’t happen that often, I’ll either walk behind them if there’s room, or I’ll wait until they’re done. I’m never in any particular rush to get anywhere and as far as I’m concerned it’s just a basic courtesy. I’d have to go out of my way anyway to walk in front of them or whatever, it doesn’t instinctively occur to me because I’d consider doing so just a fairly obnoxious thing to do tbh.

I just walk around or wait as not to spoil the photo. Why be a cnut unnecessarily?*

*I understand that this may be a rhetorical question in this forum.

Yes, but only if they're taking the photo in private and they don't know who I am. I then take a photo of them to add to my collection.

If the dozy cvnts are taking a long time to get the right frame, then yes, I'll walk through.

Most of th time I'll let them take the photo.

If they annoy me I'll walk in front of them.

I remember when I was in my mid 20s and digital cameras were on the scene walked up to an actual stunner in a club and asked would she mind taking a photo of me and my friend. When she politely agreed and was looking for my camera I looked her straight in the eye and told her to use her own.

Now it was at this moment when I was expecting a look of contempt. Instead she found it hilarious and agreed. Ended up going out with her for 6 years.

As for the OP, I would usually try and walk around unless they were causing an absolute nuisance. Then I would point up in the air and shout WTF. Usually causes the staged photo to disintegrate rapidly while they search for an Instagram classic.

One of the most bizarre fad is Asian couples who dress up in their wedding clothes to get photos in European cities even though they are probably married years. Even go as far as hiring professional film crews and photographers. Each to their own I suppose.

Nowadays I just walk through. With digital cameras someone can immediately see if their photo is ruined and just take another. Back in the day of photochemical film I would alway stop to ensure a photo wasn’t ruined.

I live near a school. The last time they were having their debs I walked out of the house and some gobshite had his car parked taking up half the path and was taking up the other half getting a picture of the daughter. He looked back and saw me standing there but just continued arsing around and backing up trying to find the right place to kneel. I would have had no problem ruining his picture but I physically couldn't get past him, unless I pushed the fucker out of the way.

You can help moving and rearranging people for the picture. Fixing their hair and clothes. People taking pictures like that.

When I take a pic I don't expect anyone to duck or go around, I just wait or move.. so nobody actually gives a shīt what anyone does, just keep moving and mind yir own bushes :-))

I say -would you like me to take your picture? Then I beat them with their camera and steal their driver's licence.

How strange a thought that there may be numerous framed photographs in peoples houses all over the world, with you just happening to be passing by in the background going about your day at some point in your life.
