Under cabinet lighting in the bathroom

    Hey folks,

I'd like to wire some lighting under the bathroom cabinet/vanity to its own switch so it can be turned on and off separately from the main lighting. Low power led stuff would be fine.

I know Ikea do relatively cheap under cabinet lighting for the kitchen but is this type of lighting rated for bathrooms (I know it usually comes with a plug so would be a no no in the bathroom) Can anyone point me in the direction of lighting that might be suitable?

    Thanks

Needs to suitably ‘IP’ rated - check with an electrical wholesalers, if you’re in cork I could tell you where to go

Thanks a million. Yeah from my Google searches I see IP65 for the worst zones and maybe IP44 for others but that's Google so I'm hesitant to trust it.

If Google is correct then a single GU10 spot with a low power bulb centered under the vanity, which is appropriately rated of course, might do the trick.

My search might be a short one if others confirm that this does the trick.

Lots of the Led striplights are supplied from a transformer that can be located safely out of the way.
