Water supply shared with neighbour

    Hi,

I am carrying out major renovation works on my house, we need to turn off the water supply from the path outside the front door as we are replacing ground floor slab and all plumbing. We discovered the other day that the stop cock outside the door is shared with the house next door. I called your helpline today and spoke with a girl who advised me that I need to apply for a new connection, she was unable to provide any additional information such as cost or time scale for the new installation.

I applied for the new connection a few minutes ago but there's nothing on the website to inform us when we can expect a call back. The issue is urgent as the builder needs to start the ground works asap, we are afraid we might lose him to another job if we don't get the issue sorted and ready in time for him to start.

    regards

    Hi Laghan,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a time frame as to when this will be completed.

Please see here for information on the connection process.

    Kind regards,
    Agata

OP this shouldn't be that much of a big deal if you can find the pipe where it comes into your house dig down to it and put a new valve in there.
