Upgrade from S6?

Im looking to buy my wife a new andriod phone and seeking suggestions please.
Her current phone is an S6, its been a really great performer but 3 years old now and recently needs to be charged a lot more often.
Shes not after anything amazing but does prefer android over ios, key features would be battery life and half decent camera.
She would kill me if i spent more than €300 or so.

mi a2 has a good camera but not amazing battery life - about 200 euro on eglobal or honorbuy for quick delivery

honor 8x looks good, good battery life, camera ok, has nfc for payments - 250 on amazon

for the average user the honor 9 lite is a very decent phone and looks nice.

Great thanks for that, unless is see something else the honor 9 lite from argos looks ideal, only slightly intensive use would be netflix.

Thanks also, ill take a look, the Moto G6 Play for €189 is also tempting thanks to its great battery and fast charging.
I had a motorola 4 years back and the battery was insanely good.

Bought mom the nokia 8 a couple of months ago. Last years nokia flagship. Incredibly fast and nice clean minimal version of android. Camera is grand. Nothing to ride home about but does the job nicely from what I've seen. Was very surprised at what this phone offered.

the e plus has a big battery but bad screen and cpu really. can't imagine the camera being too great either.

but the biggest downside is 16gb internal storage - even using an sd card you will quickly run into issues installing apps (as parts of apps still need to be stored internally as well as some apps only being allowed to be installed fully on internal storage). 32 gb is the min these days really to avoid hassle.

netflix will run fine - it's not that intensive really.

P20 Lite can be got from Vodafone for €180. Also a decent option.

weak cpu in that phone though.

could well make a differnce to basic day-to-day operation as the cpu is really at the low end of things

yes. same cpu as honor 9 lite.

doesn't seem to be much difference if at all in camera and build is similar. p20 lite has a notch which may not be a plus.

is that unlocked?

and do need to topped up sim card to buy it?
