Finding out Date and Time on WhatsApp Photo

    I hope I'm posting this in the right place :o I'm trying to find out the date and time a photo sent to me on WhatsApp was taken. When I view it in my phone's gallery, it only shows the date and time it was received by my phone. Is it possible to find out when it was originally taken?

    I just had a look there and whatsapp scrubs the photo of any exif data when it's sent. You can only see the time it was received in whatsapp, not when the photo was taken.
