Hardware requirements to run Windows 10

    Hi,

I've never used anything newer than Windows7 so I'm wondering what kind of hardware I need to run Windows 10 so that it won't be sluggish ?

Would 4GB RAM and intel core i3-8130u dual core 2.2 - 3.4 ghz processor be enough eg. https://powercity.ie/product/47166
It wouldn't be for gaming just for creating documents, streaming and surfing the web with many tabs open at once and I guess Avast running in the background.

What is the min RAM required for Windows 10 ?

    Thanks,

    Usjes.

That machine would be blisteringly fast. The RAM is about the minimum anyone should get, but for your usage it'll be fine. That machine will be a like a rocket ship doing all tasks you've mentioned, nevermind just working Windows 10. As for the actual minimum requirements, it can run on as little as 1GB for a 32bit OS, and 2 for 64Gbit.

PS. Don't install Avast, it's annoying and not needed. Windows 10 has it's own security (Defender) which is more than capable enough for security.

Good machine, buy it from somewhere that don't try to ignore consumer rights.
