    Hi Spikedd,
Please know that you do not have to deal with this on your own.

We encourage people experiencing difficulties to talk to someone they trust and, if appropriate, to go to their GP. If you need help urgently and outside of GP hours, please go to your nearest A&E department.

Here at Boards.ie our moderators are not trained to support people experiencing difficulties. There are other organisations better positioned to provide specialised support. These organisations are listed below. We hope that you will follow these up so that you can get the help and support you need.

    If you need immediate help:
    Aware’s Support Line is open 7 days per week, 10am-10pm on 1800 804 848

The Samaritan’s phone line is open 24/7 on 116 123

Pieta offer one-to-one, face-to-face support. Click ‘Contact us’ to find the phone number and opening hours of your nearest branch on their site or email mary@pieta.ie for advice on getting an appointment.

    If you need non-urgent help:
Aware have a support email service at supportmail@aware.ie

There are some other useful services that you can use also listed here.

    Omg!
Please call someone and talk. Don't take your life.
Try to get a lawyer as your work need to investigate this. Talk to a lawyer before the police as you could sue them if you have rights when the lawyer advises.
    You were a victim here.
There could have been cameras to be reviewed and the person who did this caught or something.
    Sorry about this.

How big were the glasses of wine?

To be honest, I don't think involving the guards is going to do anything. Your system is now clear of any drugs, if you were spiked. I can't see them treating it very seriously tbh.

Also, I'd say the amount of spiking that goes on is very low. A lot of people use it as an excuse for having drunk too much. As mentioned above, do you have any idea what size the wine glasses were? Some glasses can hold close to a Bottle of wine. Did you pour the wine yourself or did the bar staff bring it to you? If they brought it to you, you will of course have got the standard measure. But if you poured it yourself or a work colleague did, you could have got maybe 2 full bottles in those 3 glasses.

And then again, many people underestimate the actual amount of drinks they have. As the night goes on, you can easily lose count. You maybe drunk more than you think you did.

Anyway, don't do anything drastic.its not the end of the world, there is plenty of work out there and you'll find something else.

As another question, do you think someone would have any reason to spike your drink?

Please call someone. Google suicide helpline Ireland. I know this feels like the worst thing at the moment but put it in perspective. You will get through this.

If your unsure go to the guards. And go now. As in right now. The longer you leave it the harder it might be to prove if something happened. Can you bring your mam or a good friend or anything?

Edit : The girl is saying she's suicidal. Comments above <snip> are thoughtless at best.

Tell them you had Neurofen with the wine, it worked for Neil Preniville, he got his job back after a few months of a sebatical.

Apologies I assumed op was female as they are generally more vulnerable to spiking. Glad to see that's the bit of my post you took notice of though rather than the bit regarding your minimizing of someone's suicidal thoughts. Nice priorities you have there.

Nothing but nothing is worth your life, so please don't think along those lines.
Do you want your job back? Are there cameras in the accomodation where you stayed?

Phone 1800 247 247, this is a suicide hotline operated by Pieta House. As terrible as this night sounds, nothing is worth ending your life. Take care.

Ok! Please don’t do anything drastic as this might seem really really awful right now but in hindsight it’s actually something you’ll probably laugh about in the future.

I’ve slept walked numerous times while under the influence of alcohol.
As in.. I went to bed and then just got up and started wandering around.
It’s completelty normal because when you drink excessively you don’t enter deep sleep and are partially active in your mind.

IMO your probably in denial and that’s why you think you were spiked but the reality is you probably just drank way too much.
But look at this from an outside perspective if you can it’s really not all that bad. Your manager sounds like a ****. So **** him/her and their job probably doing you a favour. Honestly it’s not as bad as it seems.
