Underfloor Heating Zone

    Hey guys,

I was hoping for some help regarding our semi installed underflooor heating seeing as it's getting colder. We had the a plumber go rogue half way through installation. Basically I leveled and insulated the subfloor. The plumber came in to do the bathroom and lay the underfloor pipe in the living room only and install the manifold under the stairs. Bathroom was completed to the level we agreed and pipe laid and manifold installed. He says he pressure tested the piping and all was good. He said he would come back to connect the manifold to the boiler and set up thermostat etc. That was months ago and I have not seen nor heard from him since. The floor in the meantime was installed over it, it was a decision we had to take.

The underfloor piping is quite messy going into the manifold which is not currently connected to anything. We removed 3 radiators from the downstairs where the UH is now. There is another radiator downstairs in kitchen on the end of the loop which has a TRV and I'd like to replace with a Tado TRV.
Can the UH be connected to the loop at the point where any of the other 3 radiators were removed or does it have to be connected directly to boiler? Can PEX be used or does it have to be Copper? (We have a lot of PEX piping left) There are another 3 radiators upstairs which are all fitted with Tado TRVs.

I'm finding it hard to get a plumber to finish the job and think the more info I have in order to proceed the better I can explain it.

    Thanks
