Strappy sandals maybe? But for me the dress is too short for work party unless you are wearing something underneath.

Yeah it is short. I would be wearing tights with it but to be honest I'm starting to have second thoughts. Gonna nip to the shops at lunch and see if I pick up something more suitable.

If you are wearing opaque tights you could go with kind of sixties vibe and knee high boots.

Opaque tights and high heeled shoe boots or ankle boots.
I think you'd get away with the fact that it's short as long as your legs are covered - don't go mental with accessories either. I think it will look very chic!
