    My Mother-In-Law used to say that Christmas used to begin when they started printing letters & logos with snow on top (like on milk cartons and RTE guide).

    For me its when I'm A Celebrity is over and they start to sell Tayto by the box load.

    When does Christmas start for you?

    When the tree goes up. The smell of Christmas tree in the house brings me back to my childhood.

    So, the 15th December for me this year.

    When work finishes. This year it's the 19th!

    The usual checklist along the way:

    * Coca Cola Advert
    * Seeing how long into December you can go without hearing WHAM - Last Christmas
    * Work Xmas Party

    When Auntie Frannie's Christmas card arrives* I get a vague sense of panic that I'd better start throwing shapes at doing something about being vaguely festive.

    * It arrived yesterday. :eek:

    the 24th. The over commercialisation of it and shops advertising since before Halloween has made me hate it

    Traditonal answer is, "It's not Christmas until I see Hans Gruber falling from the 29th floor of the Nakatomi Plaza building"

    Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.
