Guys, I got my field tested in the last few weeks and the results are back.
its 4.5 acres but I want to get it back into shape. What do I need to do?

I got tested for LR (SMP buffer pH), pH, P, K, B, Mg, Cu, Zn & ER Mn. Those I haven't listed cam back as normal.

I've an offer of a spread of slurry next year and I know I need to get a lot of lime....

    PH 5.2 ph Lime requirement 13.75 t/ha

    buffer ph 5.6

    Reading - Target - Requirement
    -
    P 2.29 - 8mg/l - - 39kg/ha
    K 47.3 - 150 mg/l - 85kg/ha
    Boron 0.49 - 0.6-2.0mg/l -

    Manganese 40.45 - 120 mg/l

The slurry should take care of a lot of those.
Depends on slurry too though but.
    I wouldn't stress about it.

Pig slurry would be higher in phosphorus and boron than cattle slurry but I wouldn't refuse the cattle.
But if you could get pig ....

You could go with a seaweed spray and or a sea/marine type calcium product too.
    Physolith, etc.
Shamrock enterprises do a seaweed granular fertilizer too.
There'll be a kick of boron in all of the above plus more.
There's a boron/humus product from the North but the name escapes me now.

Some people seemingly get on well with Bacteriosol from Sobac too.

If you could have the slurry, lime and get your own seaweed and rot it in an ibc container and continually take the juice and spray. You'd nearly have a free fertilized plot.

If you've only a plot and are going to grow your own in a few years.
Look up the 'back to eden' method of bringing soil back to life.
It's basically wood chip and dung/slurry.
Put it down in a thick, thick mulch. Then it breaks itself down on the soil and the juice/tea goes into the soil. Transforming the soil underneath. With a big increase in worm, fungi, bacteria in the soil.
You could put a layer of straw on top of the wood chips if you wanted the top layer of wood chips to break down completely and then rake off months later. Bacteria and fungi don't like the sun/uv light when working.

(The divil will be run out of you after watching that too). :pac:

There's a large rabbit hole to fall into with soil management.
