Shower pump needs a shake to start!

Hi all, I have a Stuart Turner shower pump which used to work perfectly for years. Over the past few months, sometimes it will not start, but if I give it a shake the pump kicks in and works perfectly again. It has gotten worse and now maybe 50% of the time it will not kick in when I turn on the shower tap but will start once shaken. Could anyone please advise what might be the issue and how I could resolve it please? Thank you!

Could be the Magnetic Sensors getting stuck meaning the power will not come on.

These are located on the Water intakes usually to prevent over heating etc. You might be shifting the sensors with the shaking

Interesting! Any suggestion as to how to ensure they stay unstuck? Thanks!

You could have a blockage in the pipe or have poor water pressure. If it is the magnetic switches they are triggering and its due to low pressure (to protect the pump)

best bet is to get a plumber out. Could be them or Could be something else.
