Motor tax online issue

Hi lads. My road tax will expire at the end of the year but we (me&my wife) didnt recieve email remainder as usualy. When i tried to login online i got message that disc was sent to me now!? Without payment or even login for last month..Wtf?? Does anyone experience this?
Tried emailed waterford council but no answer.

If you get the message below, it means your tax is not available to renew yet. My last two emails from MotorTax.ie came on the 2nd of the month it was due. Are you 100% sure it's due at the end of this month?

Is it possible that it's a bit early yet before they issue notification that it's due at the end of the year? Maybe the notification about the disc being issued already is from the last time you taxed the car rather than the forthcoming year?

Yep thats the message. Our tax is till 12-2018 on both cars. Looks like message is there frm last renewal in september. Just dont know why are we not allowed renew it now. Its almost half of the month and christmas ahead so wud like to have new disc b4 holidays

Motor tax online is dealt with by the Department Of Transport,Tourism and Sport in Shannon,not by your local council office.
Email motortax@dttas.gov.ie. or ring 0818 411 412,otherwise go to the council office in Waterford and check it out/renew it there.

Give it a few days, I'd expect the reminder to come by the end of this week.

I received emails on Dec 7th for both cars. Current tax discs lapsing end of December.
Hope you get yours soon.

Mine is due at the end of the month too and received the notification email last week. Haven't done anything about it yet. Will sort it out in a week or so.

Email address change? Checked spam/junk folder?

Email or call them directly is your best bet in that case

Mines due he end of the year and I only got I Friday. I'd imagine it will go out this week

No changes at all. Spam folder checked daily
