Thinking of getting my Dad a camera for the shed for Christmas. The problem is though we live 25 minutes drive away so there is no hope of being able to connect it to the house wifi. Is there anyway of making it work without having to pay 20 euro a month to Vodafone or Three ? The hope would be that he could log on and watch on his phone.

Unless you have line of sight a long distance wireless connection won't work, so you will need an internet connection of some kind. You could try a cheaper plan but not sure how much data you will use. It will depend on how often you check the cameras.

Unless yard is beside some other friend/family member who's internet you could use.

Well you could use a three mobile sim and top up by 20 euro, you get to keep that 20 euro credit and spend on apps etc. You would be using a prepay mobile plan instead of a three broadband plan.
