    Is it 1.0 or 1.3?

Is the car left in Drive at the lights?

“Yes it is - as I was saying in WhatsApp, when I changed it to Park, the shaking stops”

I had similar problem in a 99 vitz/yaris 1.0 automatic in the past. Car shakes due to low idle at drive and engine started to stop when car is in drive and stationary randomly.

First mechanic claimed ignition coils are gone and needs to be changed (~100 euro per coil).

Wasn't convinced and took it to another one.

Mechanic's comment after fixing it was someone fiddled with throttle body in the past and didn't put it back right(it was always shaky when stopped) so he just removed it, cleaned it and put it back plus put 4 new spark plugs. Never had any shaking/engine stopping problem afterwards

Is it a Vitz Japanese import as the Irish one doesn’t have a Park position.

I had it on a W124, car shook at lights. Turned out to be engine mounts

A mechanic is going to have a look at it soon
