I am in the middle of an 18 month contract with eir.. for the last 4 months I have been overcharged by €30 each month for data add-ons that I dont want or asked for. I have rang every month and complained.. eventually after refusing to pay I was refunded..is this grounds for me to opt out of my contract without penalty.

    Hi eire_dd,

Have you ever opted in for a data add-on? In some cases, a customer chooses a reoccurring one instead of a one-off booster and this will keep continuously charge until it's been removed by ourselves. If this was the case, it would have been credited back to you as a goodwill gesture.

    Thanks

    Tracey
