5 seater commercial - still possible to buy used?

I know the revenue rules changed in July this year for new 5 seater commercials to be registered. Is it still a good idea for someone with a vat registered company to buy a used 5 seater commercial through their company? I know the vat could be reclaimed when bought new before July but I have no idea about buying used models. I'm thinking of an Audi Q7 or similar. Thanks !

The rule change related to VRT.
You can claim the VAT back on anything as long as you have a VAT invoice,
are VAT registered and can show you need that particular item in your course of business.

That bit is irrelevant in claiming vat back.

Op, any of these vehicles that were registered up to 31st July 2018 are as they were on the old system and will be as long as they are around so work away.
