    Hi all,
We are buying a 1970s bungalow and want to make it as efficient as possible. Eg external insulation, windows, solar panels etc

We are looking for advice on what heating system would suit?

    Thanks

The most suitable heating system will all depend on how good a job you do on reducing your heat loss. Heat loss in most houses is not generally solved by adding insulation on its own. Air tightness and appropriate ventilation is critical in eliminating convective heat losses (typically biggest heat loss mechanism in most Irish houses) and having a healthy indoor environment.
So, it is premature to be thinking about the system you need to replace the heat lost from the house before you know what is being lost and where.
