Question re towbar .

    Would anyone here know if a towbar from a 2004 A4 would fit a 2007 A4 ?

    It might. Although the A4 from '01 to '05 has a different towbar listed than the '05 to late '07 they look very similar




    Have a look at the individual fitting instructions for both towbars on here. They do appear to be very alike,

    Unless the distance between the chassis fitting holes (and the distance between chassis legs) is different it should fit.
    If you have a bar from an '04 anyway you've nothing to lose. If not then I would be looking for one from the newer model.

    Thanks for reply - good links :).
    It's a friend of mine who has an 07 A4 and he bought a SH towbar . He was told it was from an 05 but a workmate who picked it up for him says it came of an 04 car.
    It's also in one piece and the bar going across has a curve in it - any diagrams I've seen show a straight bar.
