    Hi
Just wondering anyone know how long it takes for the revenue to switch to back to the cumulative tax? Switched jobs few weeks ago they have p45 already the employer.
I rang revenue last week wednesday they said they would and issue a new tax cert and this week my pay I'm still on the week one in a minimum wage. Didn't get a chance to ask on the phone my credit ran out at the end just as they were issuing the cert and put me on hold .
And once switched back do I all the overtax payment back?
    Thannks

Revenue generally do not issue new tax credit certs this time of year - in fact as far as I know, as of this week, it may be impossible for them to do so. You may need to wait and do a review in 2019.

You will not come off a Week 1 cert automatically - it has to be done by Revenue. If you have a myaccount you can view your tax credit certs in the documents section. If the most recent one is not a cumulative cert it means a new cert has not been issued and you are still on a week 1.

Yeah I rang revenue last week they said they were going to change it but as she went to update the credits or something when she put me on hold credit rang out and she didn't ring back .
Oh so I'd need to ring again and find out whats up?

i checked the cert it says it's amended 08/12 they have me in the 20% band

Do you have a myaccount with Revenue? If so you can view the cert there and you will not need to call them.

If the most recent cert in your myaccount is a week 1 cert, then you are going to be stuck on week 1 til the new year. It's too late to get a new cert.

It shows a cumulative cert now but it says the date 08/12 on it so next Sunday

It's up to your payroll now to see if they can implement the new cumulative tax certificate and recalculate any tax refund due. If they can't this late in the year then you'll have to request a review of 2018 next year from Revenue.

Does the date at the top 08/12 mean anything?
Does that mean my employer won't get the updated tax cert until then?
