Bring own device and avail of Wifi Calling

    Is it possible yet to bring your own device and use Eir's Wifi Calling? In partiulcar a Google Pixel device?

    There must be an open standard for it. It's part of the specification for the IMS servers (exchanges) used on the networks, rather than some proprietary setup.

    Eir say they support it on iPhones and Samsung devices. They make no mention of anything else.
    I'd guess you're unlikely to get a very techie explanation from front line customer care on any network though.

    Hi KGavin,

    Thanks for getting in touch. WiFi calling can be enabled on most devices. For Google Pixel devices you can usually do this by going into your settings, then select calls, then there should be an option to enable WiFi calling. 

    As I don't know what exact device you have, I must advise that the above may not work for your device.
