    Hi,

I want to improve the sound from my TV.

I'm looking to spend about 200.

    What are my best options?

    All the best

    Hi Esho.

    Thanks for the post.

You would be looking at a soundbar to help improve your sound.

Starting at the Polk Signa S2 (With wireless sub) priced at 179 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203722-polk-signa-s2-soundbar.aspx

A little over budget would be the Acoustic Energy Aego Soundbar priced at 215 Euro (Again with wireless sub).

    Thanks,

How much would one with a separate subwoofer cost?

I have a Samsung TV that has a hdmi and a PC/DVI audio in.

    All the best
    Stefan

    Hi Esho.

Around the 200 budget you would need to make sure you television has an optical output as very few sub 200 Euro soundbars will not have HDMI.

The PC/DVI audio in on your TV couldn't connect to a soundbar as these are inputs and not outputs. They would be for connecting your PC to your television.

For one with a sub there is the POLK S1 priced at 179 Euro (Optical connection)
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-13050-polk-audio-signa-s1-black-soundbar.aspx

Or the bigger brother the S2 priced at 189 Euro (This one has HDMI ARC - So if one of your televisions has HDMI ARC you can connect via this option - Also has optical)
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203722-polk-signa-s2-soundbar.aspx

Just over budget would be the Acoustics Energy Aego priced at 215 Euro (Optical Connection)

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks Kenny,

It doesn't have an optical I don't think.
    It is a Samsung.

The hdmi does not say HDMI Arc.

It does have the white and red audio outputs, as well as the headphone out Jack.

Do you have anything I could buy that would work, and how much?

    Thank you

    Hi Esho.

Do you know the model of your TV and I can check which connections it has for you?

    Hi Esho.

    Thanks

The model number is LE40C530 and it's a Samsung.

If it doesn't work, what is my option for a better sound and how much would it be?

    All the best
    Stefan

    Stefan,

If you only have an analogue input I ewould recommend something like the Q Acoustics M4 which has analogue outputs.

It reatils at £299 at the moment.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David

    Thanks David,

That's good to know but it's over what I'd get away with.

I still have my beloved nad amp and denon speakers I bought from you 20 years ago, sound is still beautiful.
Will be back in touch when the kids start paying rent!

    All the best
    Stefan
