Is this an eir number

    I have just received a call fro this number 001213775959 purporting to be from Eir about my broadband. I listened to them waffle for about 1 minute before im hung up. Is this a genuine eir number?

    Were they trying to tell you that there was an issue with a fiber line and they wanted to check your ping leakage, which amazingly could be checked by looking at your processor performance graph?

    The said my cable had been compromised. At that stage i hung up.

    Same crew. I had two of them on the speakerphone for about 20 minutes while I worked away. I think they eventually realised that I wasn't actually following their instructions.
