Broadband Now Active but No Landline (Order Cancelled)

I called last week to move from Vodafone to Eir and my broadband went active yesterday as per the appointment however the voice element of the package has not been activated and when I log into My Eir it says Order Status Cancelled. I had been told that the voice service would go active at the same time because I was moving from Vodafone Fiber VoBB too. Can someone check the status of the order for me please? We've had this landline number for 30 years so don't want to lose it. I'll message you the details now to speed up the process.

    Thanks

Did you try the VoIP port on the back of the eir router?
They’ve possibly ported it to VoIP rather than POTS.

Also check the phone socket on the wall. Perhaps it’s been ported to the local exchange instead of VoBB too.

Yeah I tried it and its neither. It says the number is no longer in service. I sold phone and broadband for 7 years so would have a fair idea how to connect it to the router and to the wall without my response sounding smart but no luck.

Hopefully they get back to you soon on it then.

Sometimes the telephone aspect of those ports between networks can take longer as there's much older technology involved in the PSTN. The broadband bit is very fast.

    Hi Ah-Watch,

I'm very sorry to hear this.

I've received your PM and responded there now.

    Thanks

Tracey I sent through an email yesterday regarding this. When escalated they reordered it but at 39.99 per month not 29.99 a month. I need to get this resolved before my cool off is up please
