Nokia 6.1 Plus or MI A2

Ok - so some opinions please....

Looking to replace a rapidly fading Samsung Note 4 for another family member - with a reasonably small budget. I have a Nokia 7 Plus - and like it so am familiar
    with their current offerings.

I have narrowed it down to either the new Nokia 6.1 Plus or MI A2, and would prefer Android One phones. Both are similar specs, similar cost, just cannot make up the mind...

    Any preferences ?

    Thanks.

    I recently bought a nokia 6.1 plus.

Nice phones. Actually it will upgrade to Android 9 at first start.

    Cons:
both sides are glass so it's slippery in my hands.

Battery it's decent(2 days) with medium to heavy use.
It's a fast phone and camera is good.

Bought it from eglobalcentral for 182(including a 32Gb SD card)

I think MI A2 doesn't have NFC. Not sure if you need it.

I have a 6.1 and it is a nice phone.

    Option for getting in White?

Thanks for all the replies - in the meantime I had gone and bought the 6.1 from eglobal. Took a while to get here, but money saved etc. Its a lovely piece of kit, a dead ringer for the samsung s8, wife has both in black and honestly, you constantly pick up the wrong phone. Its very slippery, which is my only negative, and it just feels a little less 'clunky' than the 7 Plus, hard to describe exactly but it almost feels more 'premium', which is a term i hate but you get the drift!

It updated instantly to 9 Pie, and then received a security update. People have talked about the 7 Plus having wifi issues after the last security update, well the 6 has a curious thing whereby the battery % number disappears from time to time. Only since the last update. Overall though, a very impressive phone for the money.

i haven't played around too much with the camera to be honest, but from what i have seen, it would be typical of an upper mid range modern phone model. Very good in good light, much less so in low light indoors. Taking fast moving subjects in good light its ok when you get the right settings, but forget that in low light.

As a photo enthusiast i am not really a fan of cameras on phones, quality wise, they serve the purpose of having a camera always to hand, but i would revert back to my traditional camera gear when i need really good quality shots. I would say definitely better than some i have seen in good light, but quality falls off as the light worsens. I reckon you could get more than reasonable 8 x 10 inch prints with good sunlight and static subjects though.
