From what I can see. Its the order/style in which the teams shoot and the fact that Compak seems to be shot on a purpose made range, while the sport trap is a ad hoc affair set up on standard trap / skeet ranges.

    Anyone else?

Compak is far more complex to set up and is a registered FITASC discipline. Sportrap is much easier to set up - kinda do what you like.

Still confused lol. Seems compak is set in a purpose made area and sporttrap can be set anywhere. One site also mentions compak has one less stand. So is sporttrap what some people call five stand ? By that logic then compak should only have 4 stands !!!

Compak registered FITASC discipline (in Ireland the name can only be used with permission and after paying a fee to the ICTSA). Sportrap not registered name normally shot under CPSA rules.
Compak has strict guidelines regarding the size of the shooting area to be used (about to change in 2019) and the trajectory of the targets. Crossing targets must cross two of the perimeter lines. Sportrap not so fussy.
In Compak the squad is made up of six shooters shooting from five stands. One shooter is out at any given time. Sportrap squad is five shooters shooting from five stands. In Compak STAND 1 always starts in Sportrap SHOOTER 1 on the card always starts. The menu in Compak is made up of five targets on each stand with a variety of combinations, e.g. Three singles and one pair (P & B or SIM), One single, two pairs etc. Full use of the gun on singles but the shooter must attempt both targets in the doubles. Failure to do so results in pair lost. The menu is also set so as the last target of a pair is the first target of the next shooter's pair. In Sportrap The menu is one single, one P & B pair and one SIM pair. There are some other small differences but these are the main points ... Hope this helps.
