Just looking some advice on purchasing a new laptop to run Adobe Premiere pro. I currently have an Asus ZenBook i5 processor but don't think it's up to the task.

    Budget:Max 1000

Intended use: Editing videos on Adobe Premiere Pro (1080p / possibly 4K) as a hobbie but potentially as a side business

Mobility: Not that important in the grand scale of things but needs to be a laptop rather than a desktop

    Warranty: Not important

    Any advice appreciated!

What Zenbook i5 is it? If you could figure the processor code that would be helpful. Editing 4K is pretty intense on any laptop, but it should be doable on your budget.

    It' the Asus ZenBook UX310UA-FB485T.

Yeah potentially could just shoot in 1080p if 4k requires a significant increase in laptop spend.

Honestly, your current machine is very capable, I'm not sure there is going to be a huge % speed increase if you upgrade. Have you tried editing on that machine? And if so how does it fair?
