I watched it a bit when it was in its heyday but the formulaic monster of the week stories were generally not as interesting as the ongoing arc which was dragged out far too long (remember too in those days there was no Sky+, remote record etc) and so I skipped a lot of it.

When Mulder was written out/left I pretty much stopped watching altogether but from the bits I've read/seen over the years it became a convoluted mess.

The episode that still stands out to me though is the one where we get the whole backstory of the Smoking Man

Chris Carter is an idiot who wouldn't know a story board if it hit him in the face but having said that it was & always will be my fav show. I'm a little obsessed lol. I've been to x files cons but I've never met any fellow Irish fans which is why I'm asking Do they exist??

Watched it back when it was originally shown. Watched it all threw again at least once or twice. The last season or two before return weren't the best the return itself was a bit hit and miss also!

Great show in its prime though when it was on form it was amazing!!

Still at this stage the main story still hasn't actually been finished which is bit crazy!!

Wish they'd just make a movie to wrap it all up but Gillian is so done with it & I don't blame her after the way Scully was treated in the revival

Was only about 6 months old when it first aired, I remember it been on telly and the music used to scare the life out of me as a child. Watched a lot it a few years ago, enjoyed it for the most part

I've thought about cons, but never looked into them seriously. Is it worth going if the main cast aren't there? Frank Spotnitz was in Galway a few years ago, enjoyed talking to him.

Interesting, I didn't know RP goes to them given he didn't want to do the latest seasons.

Really loved it in my ten age years, eugene victor tombs scared the life out very me. First few series legendary

Love the x-files, not so much the resurrected series, but the original series was brilliant.

I even went to see Jerry Hardin in Galway back in the 90s such was my love for the show.

Yes!!!! Since premiere in the mid 1990s. Blu-ray and DVD(backups) of seasons 1-11 (12 in the basket Amazon)

Disappointed this season that Rte Two didn’t show it like they did with season 11, next day to the USA premiere.

Love the xfiles have the DVDs and Blu-ray boxset collection. First 6 seasons are top notch TV but it does dip afterwards.

As for latest series it is on rte? I've recorded it but haven't watched yet

It was actually really good his voice is not the greatest but he had amazing stage presence plus the m&g was much more relaxed than in Orlando I definitely recommend checking him out if he goes on tour again
