Bridging an F2000 to Orbi

Guys Ive an eir F2000 and got a Netgear Orbi with 1 satellite to improve the range in the house. Do i need to go to bridging mode on the F2000? Are there any other settings I've to change? thanks

Guys

Ive an eir F2000 and got a Netgear Orbi with 1 satellite to improve the range in the house.

Do i need to go to bridging mode on the F2000?

Are there any other settings I've to change?

Will it effect the phone connection if I bridge. It seemed to untick the T069 (or whatever it was)

AFAIK you're on FTTH. Is that correct? If so you should not need to bridge the F2000. If your orbi supports VLAN tagging on the WAN port you can set it up to tag VLAN 10 and plug it into your ONT.

You'll lose the VoIP phone doing this but you also lose the VoIP phone bridging I believe.

Apologies, Ididn't realise it was FTTH so my advice was wrong. There's no bridging with FTTH as the modern is not in use. Have a search there's a thread on here about 2 weeks back with a link to instructions on how your set vlan10 on the wan interface with Orbi

Another option if you want to keep the phone is to leave the F2000 in place with it's WiFi turned off and set up the Orbi as an access point.

Yeah but that's a terrible option imo, best to go the full hog and replace that POS F2000

It depends how important the phone service is to the individual.
