Nice car, six cylinder engine and M Sport spec for extra niceness! It would want to have a good service history, although it is much rarer than for the four cylinder models, these engines can suffer from timing chain failure. I wouldn't buy one without that. Can't think of much else against them other than it is hardly uncommon for the rear suspension airbags to fail, and they are a bit funny when it comes to replacing discs and pads (not a job to be taking to any old mechanic that's for sure, I don't remember exactly why now, though). I think they're a pretty reliable car apart from that, though.

Thanks so much man. Is it worth it 16k with warranty ? Wouldnt hesitate for 15k.

Shame it doesn't have xenon headlights which would be a show stopper for me. Had a F10 as a loaner last week while my own was in for a service, it had no xenon headlights and the headlights were piss poor on it.

16k sounds a saucy imo to be honest, is it a private sale or from a dealer?

Is that a 530d? Either way, without knowing too many details I think 16k for a 2011 is a bit too steep. There are saloon 2011s coming in under 10k now, not the best examples in the world so if that one is in great nick low mileage and has some nice extras I'd start seeing value at around the 12.5 to 13k mark

They're probably only SEs for that price, M Sports are worth that bit more. You'd probably get away with an SE in a 520d but not in a 530d.

Yes motorcheck shows the reg as a 530d. F11 Touring models seem to be holding their values slightly better than F10 saloons but I still think 16k is strong money unless it's from a main dealer with the 2 year BMW approved warranty.

1 owner, FSH, 143 k kilometres, tax and test till Jun '19, looks great tbh. Its at a dealer, but not of the Kylamore Rd triangle ones.

Its actually first f11 I have found that is not 520d, in the past 6 months of looking, within 15k mark.

I thought they are xenon lights ?

They don't appear to be Xenons. The Xenons have led indicators built into the headlight unit. The easiest way to tell is check the headlight switch on the dashboard, non xenon headlights have a switch next to he headlights switch for changing the headlight level manually. The switch is labelled 0 to 5 for the different levels. With Xenons they have automatic leveling so there is no switch on the dashboard to adjust the headlight leveling. The Xenon headlight cluster also has led indicators built into it whereas the non xenon headlight cluster has normal halogen indicator bulbs.

You are right. There is manual adjustment switch.

Is there a way of upgrading this to xenon ? By not buying brand new headlamps of course, I guess they are crazy expensive.

You would have to upgrade the entire headlights along with adding a headlight washer system. Cheaper just to get better bulbs like Nightbreakers or similar.

You would be right there. For example, adaptive Hella units are near €1000 a side plus fitting, if the car could even take them. Bulb upgrades are really your only option.

Headlight condensation in pre-lci cars is an issue as well.

I agree with bazz the halogen headlights would be a deal breaker for me too. Right engine though which is a shame. Hard to believe a so called executive car had halogens as standard before they made xenons standard with the LCI model in 2014.

Had halogens on my 525d touring and was one of the reasons i traded up to a 14 535d. There is no comparison.

I know the difference, I have adaptive dynamic bi-xenons in my current e60 and the light output is just crazy
