If so, they've been sitting around since at least 1400 today :-P

Saw those lights heading south bound on the M50 approaching junction 9 a couple of nights ago. Was weird seeing lights that high up in the Dublin mountains.

They're super bright. My first thought was a film crew, they have those types of lights.

    Do you have any pictures?

Have always been interested in the stories about the Hellfire Club, particularly the mysterious visitor who came to play cards and turned out to be the Devil.

Pictures of what? The lights? No. Basically really bright white lights sitting on top Montpelier Hill. Anyone with a view of the Dublin mountains will see them!

More or less the exact same story is told about Loftus Hall in Co. Wexford, near Hook Head Lighthouse.

The soot stains on the ceiling in the Hellfire Club I’m guessing are most likely from kids lighting fires...

Did someone give you a kick in them to light both up like that?

Apparently they're shooting a film up there.

    This.

Funny enough, not more than ten feet away from me sits the piano from Killakee House, where the hellfire club held some of their meetings after the lodge above burnt down. A house which apparently is haunted by an evil black cat and odd goings on, including tales of the piano playing by itself. My grandfather picked it up for an absolute bloody song(no musical pun intended) in the 60's because of this reputation. Sadly it has never played by itself. *looks concerned at said instrument* Certainly not when I was dropped into piano lessons as a kid.:D No sign of a black demonic cat either. Though in fairness cats don't like me, diabolic or not.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Now a mysterious fog is enveloping the hill this morning.

    That's it, I'm packing up!
