I dont know much about cars but was thinking of getting qashqai with offer of new one a year later. Is it a good offer?
Anyone drive one? What's your experience? I will probably go for the most basic petrol model.
I have a very old 1.6 litre petrol car at the moment but ( to prove I know very little) the basic petrol qashqai is 1.2 (I think). But the qashqai is a much bigger car so why does it have a smaller engine? Is there something about it not having a spare wheel but some kind of emergency kit?
Anyone know if the basic petrol model is economical on petrol?

I also know very little but can tell you the 1.2 in the qashqai is turbocharged so has about the same power output as most standard 1.6 engines.

Thanks for reply. Does that mean because it's turbocharged ( whatever that means) it would use more petrol that an old 1.6 litres car.

No if anything it should use less as it will be using less fuel at low RPM. Down side is the turbo may put more strain on the engine. I don't know much about the engine, if built well it will still be reliable.

Isn’t one of the conditions that you pay list price for the car?

Ref Power, don’t worry, the engine is turbocharged so will be more than enough for you.
