Where can I find a power supply for this connection?

It's on an LG 32" 32LN540U television. I bought a second-hand telly but the power supply thw previous owner gave me is a standard 2-core AC lead. I've never seen a connection like the obe one on the television unit.

Any ideas??

It looks like the connector you would see on some laptop chargers.

It also looks like an adapter that is removable! Try to remove it - the may be a standard connection behind it.

If not, you can pick up a power lead that suits easily enough.

Definately seen those shaped plugs going into stereo amplifiers etc.(ordinary household hi-fi seperates) and power leads for speakers that you attach to a lap top.

Thanks guys. I googled TV power supplies and saw that it is indeed a typical charging connection for laptop chargers - and I have one at home! Never noticed it before. @Esel, good thinking, and that's one of the first things I tried..... it didn't budge though.

I think that one is called a cloverleaf mains cable. Figure of 8 doesn't have an earth pin
